𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐒: How Do Teachers' Ratings Work?
This is just a written part for you, as readers, to understand what I'm doing exactly before we start getting serious with eliminations and stuff.
Disclaimer: this isn't compulsory for you to read, especially if you (for some wild reason) like the idea of me rigging this show. If you're a normal person who's scared of me doing that, however, rest assured! I'm not doing that. This is exactly to reassure you about that ^0^ It's just... Very confusing. I don't know if I'm making sense to myself, frankly speaking, but the logic is there. If you don't get it, it's not your fault: it's just me. I'm so sorry.
That being said...
Remember the Star Tickets dynamic? (Go back to TAPE ONE: LIKE A CINEMA in case you don't).
If you're an applier, you'll remember the form I sent for everyone to fill in at the end of the mission.
In the applyfic setting itself, these are assigned by your teammates as a way to confirm you've been active and helpful; in writing, however, these tickets are actually scores given by the teachers to the students prior to the live voting post-performance.
This is where it gets a bit confusing.
As I was testing this method around for the first time, I wasn't exactly sure about how many tickets one would earn on average, but after receiving all the forms I've noticed that the minimum for active appliers was around 4-5 Tickets considering both the standard ones and those from Class Representatives. What does this mean?
In writing, teachers will give ratings on a scale from 0 to 5 which will be converted to points as per the rules stated originally (1 point from Teachers or 1 Ticket = 5.000 points in voting, for a maximum of 25.000 points), as the most one earned was 12 Tickets and... I'm sure anyone would find it difficult to make it work without the system sounding rather... Wonky.
Still not sure you're getting it? No worries, I have a more practical example! Let's see it with some placeholder names...!
EXAMPLE ONE.
Ban Serim - the Class Representative in this example - has earned 8 standard Star Tickets from her classmates' voting; she has surpassed the limit, however, which means that when it'll be the time to announce results in the chapters, the Teachers will say she got 5/5.
She'll still be able to enjoy her 8 Tickets * 5.000 Points, amounting to 40.000 Points in total. Crazy, right?!
EXAMPLE TWO.
Eom Taehyun has been decently active in this mission, obtaining 4 standard Star Tickets from his classmates' voting, as well as 1 special SuperStar Ticket from the Class Representative Serim as a bonus: that means he has 6 Tickets (as 1 SuperStar Ticket = 2 Star Tickets).
He exceeds the limit of 5 so - just like Serim - the Teachers will say he got 5/5: unlike Serim, however, his total will be the results of his 6 Tickets * 5.000 Points, amounting to 30.000 Points and not 40.000.
EXAMPLE THREE.
Hanabusa Kaho has been just as decently active as Taehyun, with the only difference being that her total amount of Star Tickets and SuperStar Tickets hit the limit of 5 just right: aside from receiving a 5/5 in writing, she'll also get a total of 25.000 Points given it is the result of 5 Tickets * 5.000 Points. This is really the simplest one yet.
EXAMPLE FOUR.
Lian Chen wasn't the most active, but he still made an effort... Maybe?
Whatever you think he still has 2 Tickets at least, which is not close to the limit at all. The Teachers will give him a 2/5 in writing (which isn't really nice), and he'll get 2 Tickets * 5.000 Points, amounting to 10.000 Points.
EXAMPLE FIVE.
This is the simplest overall... No Tickets, nothing at all. 0/5 in writing and 0 Points as well. As simple as it can be!
BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS NOT ALL.
Sorry for the screaming I don't have my notes with the dividers so I had to divide in another way... Oops.
ANYWAYS.
These scores will be given at the end of rehearsal by teachers. I did say that, right?
So one would assume you'd see them right before live voting starts, right?
But NO! You will see them after live voting. Why? Because I'm a bitch!
I MEANT... I don't want those scores to affect your votes 😇 So yes, essentially I'm a bitch and setting some people up for failure. (All jokes aside, there's something that tells me it's not a good idea to disclose those before voting is over, so...)
It's also a good way to see whether the people who worked directly with the appliers and everyone else have the same picks or not...! If there's a massive difference, then it's an indicator either 1) I rigged this or 2) the applier's activity was rather irregular.
I promise it's the second, however you're free to believe what you want. I have no way to prove it, not to mention I am human, hence biased in my judgement. From here on, it's up for you to judge whether I did a good job or not - but unless I actually disrespected anyone, keep it to yourself. This show is not serious.
